Sortfolio is a directory for designers and people that search for great designers. 37Signals started the service 2009 and wants to sell the service now [2].
I don't know what the real reasons for selling are, but to me the figures are interesting:
- $17,000-$20,000/month steady
- 10,000 total accounts, 195 of those are Pro accounts ($99 / month)
First question: How much does it cost to run the servers and the people for customer care and stuff like that?
Secondly - it's really interesting that 200 of 10000 accounts are paying premium. Makes 1.95% paying customers.
