Netflix is a US video streaming and video rental company. It is lead by Reed Hastings and famous for having a great corporate culture and ultra high achievers as staff [1].
One challenge for Netflix is to deliver video content to a huge amount of devices. Set top boxes, game consoles and such.
The way they achieved this is really interesting. They are using a slightly modified webkit as basis and are simply coding the frontend in html5 / javascript. They are then deploying their webkit including the frontend to all devices and go cross platform [2].
