Close-up on Randy Pausch's Achieving your childhood dreams

One of the best talk I've ever seen:

My personal key lessions:

- Learn from Captain Kirk: He was not the smartes guy on the ship, but he had something called leadership skills.
- Have fun in life
- Never lose the child like wonder
- Help others
- Never give up
- Walls are only there to show your dedication
- Don't bail out - the gold is at the bottom of barrels of crap
- Get a feedback loop and listen to it - Self reflection is key
- Don't complain - only work harder
- Show gratitude
- Be good at something - that makes your valuable
- Everyone has a good side. You just have to keep waiting - sometimes it takes years.
- Learn what the head fake is. Sometimes the thing you do is not the important thing, but the things your learn while doing so... Baseball is not about playing Baseball, but about cooperation, leadership, excersise, hard work... many lessions.

Relationship / Leadership key points:
- Focus on other people not on yourself
- Apologize when you screw up
- Loyality is a two way street

At the end Randy reveals the true nature of his talk:
- Head fake 1: This was not about childhood dreams but how to live your life.
- Head fake 2: This talk was for my kids.

Thanks Randy!
